Principal Investigator: Judit Roca Vargas
The evolution of the publishing sector demands a new professional profile, the Creative Manager. The research focuses on the study of the editing process and the evolution of the sector and professional profiles; graphic design as a creative process and focuses on the editing process of enology magazines. This study will try to define the creative skills of this new editorial profile, which must be acquired to carry out a correct communication of content through the magazine.
This research is based on a mixed non-interventionalist qualitative methodology with quantitative research techniques. The study begins with the literature review and exploratory interviews; a case study (of oenology journals) is carried out and conclusions are drawn. Then, the editorial process is analyzed and, next, the profiles that intervene in this process are described. Then, professional and creative skills are analyzed; and the profile of the Editorial Creative Manager is defined, proposing the skills and abilities that this new profile should have and its suitability and importance are tested.
The study advances with the realization of a focus group with professionals of the editorial process to define the role of the Creative Manager and verify the competencies that apply in each phase of the process. From the conclusions and all the studies carried out so far, a creative toolkit will be built for the Editorial Creative Manager. This tool will be tested with professional experts.
From here, it should be checked if they allow to validate the hypothesis and the relationship with the objectives set at the beginning of this investigation. Finally, it will be possible to know if the conclu-sions constitute a significant contribution to the research topic. If so, it can be said that the disserta-tion has just been transformed into a thesis whose contributions can be a starting point for future research in the same area of knowledge.
