Socially engaged art project developed in two municipal neighbourhoods of social housing in Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon, specifically the Barrio do Moinho das Rolas and the Barrio dos Navegadores. The project began with a proposal made by the Aga Khan Foundation, with which was established a collaboration platform to initiate a project with a group of local residents, among other immigrants established in neighbouring councils. Starting from the participants’ labour activities and knowledge, the first phase was based on brainstorming. Later on, the process of experimentation and production of cloth sacks with applications of African fabrics was begun. Another aspect was the creation of visual poems in African Creoles and their printing using engraving techniques.
