Citizen Designer Cidadão

“Citizen Designer Cidadão” was an activity that was part of the course unit of “Service Design” though by Prof. Rita Almendra. The design students organized in groups were invited to survey social design initiatives in Portugal using a toolkit created to support “SEEING, ASKING, DOCUMENTING” actions in the field. The kit also contained instructions to support the making of a “DIAGNOSYS” of the problem-situations behind the respective initiatives that the students encountered. In the end, each group presented their initiatives to the class, and then proceeded to explore service thinking ideas and proposals that might complement the found initiatives to deal with their respective issues.
