Graziela Sousa

Researcher

Graziela Sousa is a Fashion Design Teacher at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon since 2011. She has also been teaching at other schools like IADE (2023), ETIC (2017) and Pulp Fashion (2011-2017). She holds a Master in Fashion Design from FA_ULisboa, focusing on Fashion Design and Creative Thinking and got her PhD in Design (2021) also from FA_ULisboa, with a thesis about Fashion Education towards Entrepreneurship. She is a member of CIAUD (Centre for Research in Architecture Urbanism and Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon). Graziela has also been working in the Fashion sector in Portugal, coordinating Special Projects at ModaLisboa Association – Lisboa Fashion Week promoter, since 2017. There, she has been organizing pop-ups, conferences, workshops and other initiatives which promote entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability among established and upcoming fashion professionals. Her main interests are in the fields of Fashion Design Education, Fashion Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability, with a mission to help the future generations of fashion professionals to develop relevant propositions with a positive social, environmental and human impact.
